CAMERA CLUB TOPIC

Motion pictures in education will
be the subject for the August meet
ing of the Camera club. Several films
of history, geography, science, and in
dustry will be shown by Thoma J.
Radcliffe. to illustrate the use of mo
tion pictures in teaching.
For the camera users, A. H. Miller
will speak on correct exposure and
will show meters and charts which
may be used In determining. The
usual round table and print criticism
for amateurs will be conducted. Tills
month the meeting will be in the
First Presbyterian church, Thursday.
August 15, at 8 p. m. and is open to
all Interested.

Mrs. Alto Pruitt, an athorlty on cor

sories, notions, yams and embroidery
goods. One of the Dorothy Grey com
pany's national prizes for a corres
pondence course was awarded last
winter to Mrs. Pruitt who features!

During a recent visit to the market
at Seattle, Mrs. Pruitt selected from
an imported line many interesting
novelty gift articles as well as other
new merchandise for Mann's. Gloves
to complement fall and winter en
semble will be slightly flared at he
cuff and some of them are quite long
with more buttons than usual. Heavy
corded cuffs distinguish the first fall
gloves which have recently arrived
at Mann's.

Southern Oregon people do not

In, according to Henry Krlem of Clin
ton, Iowa, who left with Mrs. Krelm
for their home yesterday after a visit
with Mrs. Kriem's father and mother,
Mr. and Mrs. G. O. Timothy and her
sister, Mrs. Bel Richardson.
Mr. Krlem, who has made five trips
to Medford during the past several
years, said, "I thought I had seen
everything of interest here but the
visit to the Pacific States Mines, Inc.,
near Jacksonville was the most In
teresting trip I have ever taken. Very
few local people know of the Immense
amount of work going on up there.
The scientific methods those people
use takes the gamble out of mining.
