A picnic aupper which was a farewell
to Mrs. Olive Klerscey who left Tues
day night for a visit to Kansas nas
enjoyed by twenty-five members of
Live Oak Oranne. The picnic was held
July 1st on the beautiful banks of
Evans creek near the Klerscey home.
Mrs. Klerscey has been the lectuier
of the grange for a long time and
will be greatly missed. Mrs. Wler was
elected to fill her station. After the
picnic the members went to their hall
The H. E. C. report from the Slate
Orange was given by Mrs. Letsy Mil
ler. Mrs. George Hutchlns was elected
on the executive committee to fill
the vacancy occasioned by A. L. Cut
ter moving to California. Visitors
from the Gold Hill Orange were pres
ent and plans were made for a Joint
picnic, to be held soon.
About 12 young people and the
minister, Rev. Bowdolne attended the
Presbyterian church conference held
last week at a!ndale. Among the
young attending were Faye Steihl,
Margaret Blakeley, Marls and Uu
rice McLaren, Nora Hughes and Rose
Mary Swank.
A new garage is being built on the
Sundry property where Mr. Honna
lives.
A baby boy weighing 8 pounds and
5 ounces was born early July 4ti to
Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Worrell and has
been named Larry John. The grand
parents. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Robin
son are very proud of the young man.
