Death of William Rrlckmann Hanna,
19, of Portland, brought this city's
list of auto fatalities for the fiscal
year to 43 Sunday. Hanna was struck
by an auto while waiting for a street
car.
Soon after the world war, Green
ville county. South Carolina, de
signed medals for each of the 5.000
soldiers recruited in the county,
but 3,000 of the tokens never were
claimed.

Knute Eleffson. who has been em
ployed in Klamath Falls, returned
for a visit with his family over the
Fourth.
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Nelson of
Klamath Falls were Fourth of July
guests at the homes of their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson of the Chlck-a-ree,
and Mr. and Mrs. Todd.
Shirley unci Virginia Nelson will
visit with their grandparents before
returning to their home In San
Francisco.
Mrs. Totten. who haa been ill at
her home so much this winter, was
greatly missed by the gathering of
Thursday. The many friends of the
family extend their best wishes.
The community gathering at the
gym Thursday was very well attend
ed. A bountiful lunch was served and
the day spent in games and visiting.
The celebration ended with a dance,
leaving everyone tired but happy.

Donald Whetstone was burled in
the Antelope cemetery June 38. He
was well known In Eagle Point and

of his death. Those who attended
the funeral from Antelope were Mr.
and Mrs. BUI Blgham and children,
Mrs. Fred Dutton and Mrs. Jack
Wood.

married Adolph Spreckelg in Eugene

a meeting of butter manufacturers
from throughout Oregon to consider
plans for a voluntary price control
program. The meeting Is to be held

court decision yesterday in which the
