beers are old-time residents of this
community, having owned a large
acreage here before they sold and
moved to Ashland, later moving to
Los Angelea. Old friends will be
grieved to know Jacob Casebeer
passed away In February from in
juries received when struck by an
auto.
Mrs. Arthur Sawyer and Uttle sons
of Hermlston. Ore., have been guests
the past week at the home of her
parents, Mr, and Mrs. L. H. Galla

L. A. Davis was sweeping shattered
plate glass from the highway in front
of hit home Sunday. About 1:30 that
morning s late model DeSoto sedan
had been wrecked there, taking out
about fifty feet of fence. Those ar
riving on the scene shortly after, said
the car had been going at terrific
speed. Two Injured women were tak
en from the wreck. The driver, s man.
was apparently uninjured.
At the annual school meeting Mon
day night, John Oreen was re-elected
director. Mrs. AUda Tula was retain
ed as clerk.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Dawson wore
calling at the Jack Thorp boms Tues
day. A number of Tolo residents went
to Willow Springs school house Tues
day to vote on the herd law which
carried more than 3 to 1.
Victor Anderson's ankle ta getting
slong as well as can be expected.
Some time ago he Injured the ankle
bone, but did not consider It serloua.
Infection was the result. He was
treated st a Medford hospital and
doctors havs ordered him to stay off
that foot for some months.
Thla community has lost another
friend and neighbor with the passing
of Harry Hamsr. Interment waa at
the Jacksonville cemetery with Ma
