a Joint annual convention of the
Odd Fellows and Ilcbekaha of Ore

delegate to the Rcbrkah assembly.
The convention will last all week,
and Dr. and Mra. Rlckert will re
turn Saturday.

of Burllngame, well known In the

former Barbara Hut ton, while the
gay. Internationally known couple
are honeymooning in California. Mr.
and Mra. Tucker and many of their
prominent friends spend a part of
each year at their summer lodge,
"Rogue's Roost," on Rogue river
near this city. .

Merrltt circle of the Presbyterian
church met In the church parlor
Tuesday afternoon when a one o'clock
luncheon was served, by Mrs. Hodg
klns and Mrs. Daniels, as the lunch
eon committee.
At two-thirty Mrs. Oribble called
the regular meeting to order. After
general routine and discussions, an
interesting program was given, having
been prepared by the program chair
man, Mrs. E. Faber. Mra. Darrel
Iluson gave a vory Instructive music
lesson on "Harmony", Mra. Oladys
Jewett of Central Point gave two
readings. The next meeting will be
held at the home of Mrs. Merrltt In

Royal Neighbors of America, Mistle
toe camp No. 4713, served chicken
dinner to the public Thursday In tho
K. P. halt from 11 o'clock to 1:30.
During those hours a much larger
number of guests were served than
at the previous dinner given April 4.
when over 300 were served.
The tables and hall were attractive
ly decorated with spring flowers from
the home gardens which are produc
ing so bounteously at this time.
Neighbor Nora Glascock waa gen
eral chairman for the affair assisted
by Oracle Margavetha Oarrct. Under
her capable supervision and the com
bined efforts of the efficient sub
committees, this dinner proved even
a greater success than the preceding
one.
These dinners have been given with
other public affairs, to establish a
"Bend or Bust" fund to defray ex
penses of drill team and officers ol
the camp to the Southern Oregon
District convention. Royal Neighbors
of America which will be held at
Bend June I. "The goal has been
leached and the camp greatly appre
ciates the helpful spirit of the Mall
Tribune and Medford News, also, the
Chamber nf Commerce broadcast, for
the generous publicity given, also the
several business firms for the gener

vote of thanks was tendered Mrs.
Wortman and her committee. Mes
dames W. E. Crews, W. C. Janes, W. J.
Warner, and Mrs. Louis Humphrys,
for their gracioua entertainment.
Officers of the club. Mra. B. O.
Harding, Mrs. C. A. Meeker, Mrs. A. J.
Hanby, and Mra. L. M. Alford. were
unanimously re-elected for the com
ing year, and Mrs. Harding, speaking
for herself and fellow officers, thank
ed the members of the honor confer
red upon them. Various books were
recommended for summer reading,
and tentative plana for the June pic
nic were made.
Miss Fay Woolsey was a luncheon
guest.
