tional Music Week program Thursday
evening at, the Phoenix gymnasium.
The program will consist of music
and folk dancing. Musical numbers
will include boys and girls cho
ruses, .ndlvldual singing and toy or
chestrs. There will be considerable
variety of folk dancing In costume,
ftome of these numbers were pre
sented at the music festival in Ash
land last wek under a.plce of the
Southern Oregon Normal. The chil
dren have been trained by Mrs. Fish

training by these capable teachers,
the student have some creditable

month of typical April weather. Fre
quent light rains and Intermittent
showers prevailed. Temperatures were
mostly moderate with daily means
averaging near normal. Sklea wers
generally overcast or broken cloudi
ness with occasional periods of clear
ing. Temperatures ranged from 84 de
grees, the highest for the month on
April 36, to 31 degrees on the Uth,
the lowest. Minimum tempers tures
near freezing or slightly below were
recorded on several mornings with
fr0flt deposits varying from light to
heavy. A killing frost on the 10th
resulted In slight damage to lidding
