unanimous V3te at a regularly called
election on the 6th day of April. 1933
for the purpose of remodelling and
enlarging the present school building.

Hill. Members of the Medford union
presented a playlet "Temperance
Tides in American History." demon
strating the gains and losses in the
temperance movement since the early
days. Lending role were played by
Mesdames Beery, Kunzman, Poffen
barger, Oldenburg, Koppen, Douglas
and Rev. Oldenburg.
Mrs. Lulu Howard spoke on the In
formation and Instruction to be re
ceived from the Union fltgnal. Mrs.
Jolley's illustrated address on "Alco
hol, What It Is and What It Does."
was the main feature of the Institute
and was very Instructive. She also
outltned methods of Instruction for
the chile re n and young people.
The resolutions committee express
ed their appreciation of Mrs. jolley's
flue addresses. They extended thanks
to the M. E. church for the hospital

all who took part In the program
and assisted with the luncheon.
In the evening Mrs. Jolley and
Rev. and Mrr. Oldenburg were guests
at dinner at Camp Wlmer, Mrs. Jolley
later giving an address to the men
at the camp Friday afternoon a
group from Medford W. C. T. U. ac
companied Mrs. Jolley to Reese Greek
to address the new union there and
help in their plana for work. Friday
evening she apoko to another new
union at Rogue River, going on to
Orants Pnss for Saturday and Sunday
meetings.
The local W. C. T. 0. Is holding a
rummage sale Friday and Saturday,
Mny 3 and 1. In the Phlpps building
formerly occupied by Nandle's Drill.
Friends are asked to have all articles
sent In Thursday afternoon. There
will also be a cooked-food sale Satur
day morning, proceeds from this to
go to tho Children's Farm Home.

Community Club
The Olrls Community club enter

team and their coach, Mrs, Myra Rus

served dainty sandwiches, cookies and
hot chocolate to the girls and board
members present.
The physical education classes,
under the direction of Golds Boone,
for the coming week will be as fol
lows: Monday, badminton; Tuesday,
1 volleyball, and Thursday, tennis.
These classes axe held at the girls'
gym at tha high school at 7 P.M. and
are open to anyon, Interested. The
badminton class will begin an elim
ination contest. The volleyball group
playa beat three out of five games.
The tennis teama will draw for part
ners and begin their tournament.
Other games such as squash and
dock tennis are planned for the fu
ture. Theco classee are for a six-weeks
period and all girls are urged to take
advantago of the opportunity, There

Monday evening as usual, under the
