Speaking Sunday night at the
Church of the Nazarene from the
topic, "The Glory of Christ's Resur
rection Triumph." Fred M. Weather
ford, paster evangelist, used as bla
text, John 14 :19. "Because I live,
ye shall live also." In brief his mes
sage follows:
"Easter la the climax of 4000
years of divine economy In an el
fort to refashion the spiritual mold
of mankind. Easter was the voice of
prophecy to demonstrate Its fulfill
ment. "All the sacred annals of heaven's
library were opened to the reading
world when Calvary's tomb yielded
Its prey. If the resurrection revela
tion of Christ la not actual history,
there Is no history. That day In
serted a brilliant marker In the
catalogue of the Christian dead and
extends to the living an ever-lighted i
beacon to direct Its steps out of i
darkness and spiritual decay. It
bridges the gap acroaa the transclent I
scenes of time to a world glided
with Immortal glory and Imperial!-j
able duration. The resurrection la
the seal of Christ's claim 'I am the
Resurrection and the Life.' It gives
an unmitigated assurance to faith
In His promise 'Because I live, ye
shall live also.'
"The resurrection la Christ's seal
bringing to a glorloua consumma
tion His completed plan of redemp
tion. It bespeaks a new and glorious
life. Man la a sinner and needs par
don. Be Is unpurlflcd In heart and
needs cleansing.-
"The whole prophetic and gospel
fabric la so Interlaced with resur
rection truth aa to make It Insep
arable to the plan of divine revela
tion. New Testament writers alone
make nearly one hundred refer
ences to this cardinal truth.
"Chrlet's bodily resurrection la the
benediction of Clod, placing His di
vine seal of approval upon Calvary's
sacrifice, to open up a provisory
haven, where men may come with
their certificates of faith and realize
upon the eternal values extended
them In a redemption that holds
for an Inexhaustible duration. Our
sins committed us to the devil's
pawnshop. Christ came to pay the
ransom with His own blood and
buy ua back to God.
"But the cross did not hold Christ.
The grave with all the skill of
human wit, genius and militaristic
power could not hold Him. Im
mortality cannot be confined. The
stupidity of man la revealed when
he attempts to evict the certainty
of a resurrection, for every man.
Became I live, ye shall live also.'
are the worda of Him who became
the first frulta of them that slept.
"Doff the robe of sin with tta
certain and ultimate defeat. Come
with your certificate of faith and
cash In on the promissory note of
God."
Several hands were lifted
prayer.

"My Dear, I simply dread this daily shopping!" How
many times have you heard that story? More than once,
we'll bet a hat. And if you ask the woman who "dreads

something like this:
"It takes so much time! I start out and look and look
and lock . . . and by the time I've found what I want
I'm dead on my feet. All in, my dear. I mean I actually

You can do a friend like that a real service. Ask her

Tell her how you have your mind all made up before
