of the death of Mrs. James Hudson
in Portland following an operation
April a. Mrs. Hudson was in Port
land, called there by the serious ill
ness of her mother, and was stricken
unexpectedly. Mr. Hudson was called
to her bedside Monday. Besides her
husband she leaves one daughter, 1
Mrs. Ernest Taylor, of Klamath rails;
two sons. Marlon and Kenneth, both
at home. Kenneth It a student at
Williams school. The Hudson home
is on Powell creek back of the lime
plant. Burial was In Portland on
April 6.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Man-In of
i Portland were visitors at the lime
plant Thursday.
The 8 pari in White Leghorn poultry
farm located on the east fork of
Williams creek reports more business
than at any time within the last
five years. They have already sold
over 12.000 baby chicks with demands
more than they can fill.
The Blodgett and sons' turkey farm
has more than 1000 turkey eggs In
the Incubators and some 00 young
turkeys about hatched.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Holzhauser re
united the first of the week from
Dorrls, Cal., where they had been
called by a death In the family. In
terment was Sunday, April 7.
The Townsend club met Monday
evening at the community hall. A
good sized crowd was In attendance.
The money recently contributed by
the club for radio advertising was
sent to club headquarters Instead of
KNX and thefefore will not be broad
cast over the radio. The club, which
consists of some 250 members, plans
to put on a play for the purpose of
raising more funds.

"Oh no, your two bits are on the
counter.
Still unsuspecting, he walked back
to the counter and found his two
bits all right, but they were bits for
