Margaret Sullavan Craterian Star
Of all the times the story of Cin
derella has been told on the screen,
nobody has ever thought of unblush
ingly admitting that the yarn la
Cinderella, nor has anyone ever
thought of embellishing the tale with
any humor, much less of a blustery,
lusty nature.
Starting a three-day run at the
Craterian theater today, Margaret
Sullavan, with Herbert Marshall,
Fra nk Morga n and Reginald Owen .
romps through a delightful and
boisterous comedy. "The Good Fairy,"

James Cruze, whcse flair for out
door spectacle has been exemplified
in such pictures as "The Covered
Wagon," and many other later pic
tures, once again gives a colorful
outdoor story to the screen.
"Hrlldorado." playing today and
Monday at the Rialto theater, is a
narrative that for origtnallty, drama
and color is exactly the sort of film
in which Cruze glories, and succeeds
In making thoroughly Interesting.
Cruze. who has a particular flair
for stories with an epic sweep, appar
ently hss found "Helldorado' much
to his liking, for he haa turned out
a big picture wide in scope, sym
pathetic In characterizations, free
and driving and colorful In the flow
of Its narrative.
