department answered a call at 8 10

where a car belonging to A. C. Smith
caught afire, evidently from a back
fire. There was little damage.

the truck he was driving left the

licenses, paying the $1 penalty fixed
by the county court for failure to
purchase them before March 10. One
of the licenses was bought for a dog
now out of the state, and another
for a dog not yet purchased. The
