gram, declared he could not bind the
federal administration to accept the
governor's program but voiced hla

In turning over funds for old-age
penslona to the counties, the state
relief committee will expect each

pension plan. Governor Martin ex
perts It will provide funds for up
to 1S a month pension, with the
county providing up to an additional
7.50 a month and the state a like

Governor Martin said county
Judges were already working out
amendBtory legislation on old-age
pensions which would make the Ore
gon statute coincide with federal
legislation now being worked out on
that subject.
A special session of the legislature
oan probably be avoided with the
acceptance of tills program by federal
officials. Governor Martin Indicated.
Mr. Edmonda expressed himself aa
very pleased that Oregon had moved
ao quickly to work out a coordinated
program. He pointed out that the
counties were well-Integrated In the
program, that existing administra
tive machinery waa to be used and
that the state waa ready with Ita
funds.
Advisers to Governor Martin are
busy preparing the needed legislative
changes to make the entire three
point relief program effective.

Baked Bananas
Bake In a moderate oven (376 de
grees) In the skins for 10 minutes.
Peel and sprinkle with a little lemon
Juice and paprika. Serve hot with
meat course.
Banana with Bacon
Roll bananaa with strips of bacon,
fastening with toothpick. Broil until
the bacon Is crisp and serve Imme
diately with a vegetable and hot rolls.
Mnnana Fritters
Peel bananas, cut In halves or
quarters, dip In batter and fry In
deep fat at 305 degrees until golden
brown. Serve with meat course.
Batter:
o flour
3 t baking powder
3 T powdered sugar
1,; t salt
I egg
3-3 0 milk
Noodle Ring with FIHIn
8 e cooked noodles, drained
; e milk
8 eggs
3 T butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Beat eggs slightly, add seasoning
then add milk and melted butter.
Combine thoroughly with noodles and
pour Into buttered ring. Bake at 360
degrees for 46 minutes, (or until
"set" according to size of ring.)
Turn onto a hot platter and fill with
sliced bananas (heated) and decorate
with little pork sausages tried a
golden brown. Pour fat from sausage
over the bananaa and ring and serve
Immediately.

1 e mashed banana
3 eggs
1-3 c sour milk
1 t soda
1 t baking powder
1 e chopped walnuts
Cream butter and sugar, add well
beaten eggs, then the dry Ingredient
alternately with the mashed banana
mixed with the sour milk. Add nut
meats laat. Bake in 3 layers at 37S
degrees for 3A-30 minutes.

3 o scalded milk .,
4 bananas, sliced
1 t vanilla

salt. Add enough cold milk to make
a paste then add the eggs, slightly
beaten. Combine with scalded milk
and cook about 13 minutes, stirring
occasionally, pour into cooked shell
and cover with tart Jam and a mer

eral election, was convicted by a cir

hours but returned a unanimous ver
dict. The trial lasted a week. Morgan
asked for and waa granted 30 day
within which to file for a new trial.
Sentence was delayed for that per
iod. At the time of his arrest several
ecks ago Morgan declared he was
the victim of a "political frame-up."
