Butter prlcM were smashed again
during the late session of the produce
exchange, completing unsettling both
wholesale and retail trading. On the
exchange there was a general cut ot
2c lb. In cubes with lower of first
score at a loss of 20 lb.
The cut In prices follows a scare
thrown Into the trade with talk of
very liberal offerings of New Zealand
butter In the east as well as addi
tional stocks to come to the coast.
Butterfat prices showed a loss of
2c again for the day.
There was a loss of lo In the price
on special eggs during the late ses
sion of the produce exchange which
shows no higher price for that stock
than for smaller eggs.
Increased strength continued to be
reflected for live chickens and espe
cially light-medium leghorn hens.
Buyers were seeking the latter mora
extensively than others.
While there was a shade of uneasi
ness In the hog market, other lines
continued to reflect strength with
prices well held for veal, lamba and
for beef.
