Justice agent at Yorkvllle. 111., by
throwing a glassful of beer In his
captor's face was Identified by resi
dents there today as Volney Davis,
wanted as one of the actual kidnap
ers of Edward G. Bremer. St. Paul
banker.
The residents Identified Davis from
a photograph In a department of Jus
tice bulletin. Davis, they said, had
spent much of last spring and sum
mer in the vicinity and was known
as "Curly" Hansen.
Although unsung because of Its
remoteness in rugged mountain ter
ritory. Stone mountain In Wilkes
county. North Carolina, is nearly as
large as the famous Stone mountain
near Atlanta, Ga.
