adjourned today until Thursday.

Vallee'e attorneys, Interrupted the
cross-examination of Clarence Webb,
the plalntlff'a father, to move that
court be adjourned to enable ac
countants to examine Vallee's books,
for the purpose of learning the
orchestra leader's Income and ex
penditures.

In regard to the sewage disposal
plant contemplated by Grants Pass,
special meeting Tuesday with John
W, Cunningham of th Portland firm
of Baar 4i Cunningham, engineer.
The council decided to write fed
eral and slate PWA heads.
Th Portland engineer expressed
n opinion that complete plana of
til proposed sewsge disposal plant
are not essential for consummation
of th 848,000 loan and grant. His
firm ha been employed to draw
th necessary plans.
Cunningham said It would take
from six weeks to two months to
complete th plans, after the loan
Is made, and that the cost would
be from 8400 to 8900.
City council member agreed that
such expenditure on a gamble that
the PWA loan and grant already ap
proved will be finally mad, la not
advisable, the budget having already
been pared aa closely as possible. It
was then Cunningham stated he did
not believe complete plans are de
manded by federal authorities before
granting the loan.
