Underpass Open The underpass
on the pacific highway north of Ash-
land Is now open to traffic, first cars
having passed through the new sec
tion Saturday afternoon. The pro
ject, necessitating several months'
work, eliminates a section of narrow
highway, and removed. In the rail
way crossing, one of tbe most dan
gerous traffic hazards on the highway.
