suprerne court from the conviction ot
Kyle Pugh for criminal syndlcausm,
was served upon the district attor
ney today by Irwin Goodman of Port
land, attorney for Pugh. Pugh waa
sentenced to serve an Indeterminate
term of not mors than five years In
state prison. Pugb's counsel also
ssks until February SB for flung of
a bill ot exceptions and a writ ot
probable cause.
Pugh, pending legal action. Is st.U
In the county Jail, in lieu of S1000
bond, which friends so far have been
unable to secure.
Pugh waa convicted of "possession,
distribution, ssls snd public display"
of communlatle literature advocating
the overthrow of the American form
of government by force. The guilty
verdict was returned In less than 30
minutes.
