More millions are flowing into state and local treasuries from levies on manufacture and sale of liquor imposed by them. BaMs of Collections. Federal revenue from sale and manufacture of liquor appeared to day on the basis of collections over the past 10 months to have settled around the (35,000,000 a month level, or (420,000,000 annually. Even higher collections are expect ed shortly by treasury officials when more states permit sale of liquor and when more Inroads are made Into the bootlegging activities which are estimated to be cheating the govern ment out of millions of dollars.
