OF MONTH'S

sided st business meeting recently
st the home of Mrs. Arthur Short In
Med ford. A budget was planned to
cover traveling expenses of the coun
ty president and membership chair
man. Funds were also set aside for a
delegate to be sent to the state P.-T.
A. contention.
In order that all units of the coun
ty may know what Is going on, a
complete calendar for each month will
be published about the first of the
month. All unit publicity chairmen
are urged to meet with their unit
program chairman and make out th.s
monthly calendar and mall It In to
county publicity chairman, not lar
than the 30th of each month.
In a recent communication from1
Mrs. Crowther, state publllclty cha'r-,
man, she lists some of the following
activities of the Oregon state pro
gram: Clinics for pre-sohool chil
dren are held twloe week, and over
35,000 children have been examined.
Parents who bring their children have
the advice of a child specialist. A
dietician and a graduate nurse are
in attendance. Over 260 pamphlets
on child care are distributed each
month. Clinics are held annually t
the Multnomah county fair. All tin
Is free. Units are urged to be sure
and watch for the monthly calendar
as published In the Jackson county
papers.
