The Girls' League of Medford high
school conducted Its annual Thanks
giving aid Tuesday. Twenty baskets
were delivered to worthy families of
Medford who were selected through
a central clearing house, so the m
terlals were delivered to some family
which had received aid from some
other organization during this sea
son. The Girls' League purchased milk,
bred and meat for all of the baskets.
All other foodstuffs were donated by
the members of the Girls' and Boys'
leagues.
The social service committee was
In charge of the affair- The mem
bers are: Anna Scheel, chairman;
Virginia Porter, Dorothy Hopkins,
Betty Vllm, Arllne Fowler, Margaret
Elliott, Peggy Reter and Lois Ptazer,
with Miss Maurlne Carroll, girls' ad
viser, and Miss Carln Degermark, as
sistant adviser, as supervisors of the
project.
Delivering the baskets were Dick
Baize, Dorothy Burgess. Mary Anne
Oatea, Tom Harvey, Barbara Holt,
Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Shclcy of 14
Chestnut street are the parents of a
son, weighing 0 pounds and 3 ounces,
born at the Community hospital on
Wednesday.
