Two Countries Blamed.
It was reported that Argentina and

cism, but the findings of the com
mission were not divulged.

' The advisory commission's lengthy
review of the world wheat situation
was explained by Andrew Cairns of
Canada, secretary of the commission.'
It stated that despite the drouth
which ravaged most of the producing'
nations last summer, world prices
were yet menaced by oversupply.
The world carryover of stocks of the
battle cereal will be between 750.000.
000 and 800.000,000 bushels August 1,
1035, the report estimated, compared
With 1,400.000.000 August 1, 1934.
Set Normal Figure.
The 1922-28 average of 625.000.000
bushels has been adopted by the con
ference as the normal figure for world
upply.
Nicholas Kalloy, Hungarian minis
ter of agriculture, made the opening
speech, welcoming the wheat diplo
mats, and outlining the Hungarian
position. He said Hungary already
cad sold Italy and Austria all the
wheat she will export during 1934.
He declared this amount was consid
erably below normal because of the
drouth.
Chairman MacMurray responded
briefly, expressing the desire of tha
TJnited States to cooperate in all
measures which were capable of
bringing better wheat prices to thj
farmer of the world.
It was learned that Dr. M. Hod-ia,
Chechoslovakian minister of agricul
ture, is fathering an agricultural bins
of the central European state, to pra
Tlde that the debts owed by the oen
ifcral states to the western Fuxopean
countries should be paid to farm
products.
Dr. Hodza claimed that the gra:n
monopoly in Czechoslovakia had been
successful, and declared he was sug
gesting Its extension to cattle.
Australia Cuts Crop.

reduction was placed at six per cent. I

port that his country's reduction i
would be at least 10 per cent.

wheat mnrket. it was understood the j

Argentina, on the other hand, has ,
declined to make any commitment !
since the breakdown of last year's
quota agreement, which she claimed
handicapped her because it was made
before the extent of her 1933 crop
wa known. Her delegates say she
waa forced to postpone a decision on
new quotas until the present confer
ence, although the new wheat year
already Is four months old.
North Americans assert Argentina
must be bound by the 148.000.000
buehel quota tentatively allotted ner
last year for 1934-35 until new ft- '

Sweden is the only one of 31 coun
tries Invited which informed the con

delegate, but the government said It
