The face of Dorothy Ann. Dlatl
hurat, six-year old girl found slain

this week, wa mutilated with acid
shortly after she was kidnaped near
ly two months ago, is was reveaiea to
day.
Dr. Herman Spitz, coroner's physi
cian, satd his examination Indicated
acid poured on the child's fac and
eyea had burned the flesh to such
an extent that she could not hare
been Identified by those who knew
her even shortly after death.
The body, found Tuesday night In
a shallow grave on the outskirts of
Nashville, was Identified by dental
work as that of the Dlstelhurst girl
who disappeared September 19 while
enroute home from kindergarten.
BLACKMAIL PLOT

Ernest Vsjda, playwright and scenar
ist who recently was named In a
(250,000 breach of promise suit by
Vllma Aknay. Hungarian actress, of
fered charges to the court grand Jury
today that a well organized blackmail
racket exists In Hollywood.
Vajda and his attorney appeared
before Deputy District . Attorney
Grant Cooper, grand Jury prosecutor,
who told them to submit briefs of
their charges, promising to place
them before the Jury if the evidence
warranted.
At the same time It was disclosed
Miss Aknay appeared before the Jury
last week with charges of perjury
against an unnamed person associat
ed with Vajda'a defense In the balm
case. The Jury reputedly refused to
act while her case still waa In court.
The actress last Thursday moved
for a dlcmlssel of the suit, but VaJ
da's counsel said they would not
agree unless the dismissal was with
prejudice, to forestall any renewal of
the action.

with conspiracy in connection wltb
the Urechel abduction, will be In con
dition for removal from the local
hospital to Portland within the next
few davs. according to a report by
his physician, Dr. E. J. Wainscot t
Dr. Walnscott today gave permission
to the department of Justice otficers
at Portland to 4Jft Scott to ques
tioning here ijtP,dire.
Scott was Injured in an automo
bile accident four miles north of
Roseburg November 3, and the dis
covery of Urschel ransom money in
his possession led to his arrest on
a charge of conspiracy, and also to
the arrest of his housekeeper. Miss
Margaret Hurtlenne; her sister, Clara
Peldman, and the letter's son, Ed
Feldman. Department of Justice of
ficers recovered more than $5000 Iden
tified as money used to secure the
release of the Oklahoma millionaire
from his abductors.
Scott, who auffered head Injuries
In his accident, haa been making good
recovery during the past few days,
his physician states, and. although
he still appears to have mental
lapses, his mind Is rational most of
the time.
He la being kept chained to hU
hospital bed, and Is under armed
guard at all times.
