Mrs. Janea.
To the attains of Mendelssohn's
Wedding March, played by Miss
Gladys LaMarr, the bride descended
tha stairway on tha arm of her
father, who gave her In marriage.
She was attired In a dress of pea
cock blue, completed In allver, and
carried a shower bouquet of pink
roaebuds. Her only attendant waa
Mlsa Laura Drury, who wore a brown
dreaa atamped In gold, and carried
a nosegay of tiny golden chryaan
themums bordered In gold paper.
George Charles Bateman acted as
attendant for the groom.
A two-course wedding breakfast
waa served, following the ceremony
with Mra. Ula M. Haaa of Pocatello,
Idaho, cousin of the bride, and Mrs.
Carlton Janes, pouring. Mra. Gall
cut the bride'a cake, which formed
the centerpiece on the table.
Misses Opal Harvey and Barbara
Drury assisted Mrs. Wilson and the
groom's mother, Mrs. Oall, about
the rooms. Miss Harvey and Mrs.
Gall wore black, while Mlsa Drury
wore deep green and Mrs. Wilson,
white.
Following the breakfaat tha cou
ple left for Ban Francisco where
they plan to remain for a week.

University of Washington, where she
waa affiliated with Alpha Phi soror

yeara with the Christian Science
church here aa soloist and has won
much acclaim for her fine singing.
She waa graduated from Medlord
high school.
Mr. Gall attended tha University
of Montana, at Missoula and la now
assistant manager of tha Union Oil
company In noseburg.
Just before the wedding, the bride
received a telegram of best wishes
from her only brother, David Hu
bert Wilson, and family of Ely.

Annual Carnival At
Junior High School
Interests Students
Paramount "in tha lives of the
Medford Junior high school students
Is the carnival which lakea place
Flirts)'. November 38. For three years
the Junior high school hsa held
auocesful csrnlvals, from the stand
point: financial, school spirit and
antra-currlcular activities.
Title Is the one occasion when
every child hss an opportunity to
take part. The money cleared at
the carnival Is used for all school
activities, such as debate, school let
ter, athletlca, glee clubs, and other
cluba and organisations. '
Interest runs high over the three
major sctlvltles of the carnival.
At class meetings this last week,
the following were selected for the
popularity contest; OA, rise LaPever,
Don Harried; OB, Catherine Conroy.

Bob Walker; 8B, Barbara Doris. Bur

Ihe football boys, and the girls'
dancing class are busily preparing
a splendid program. At Intervals
during the progrsm, the girls' lesgue
orchestra and the boys' harmonica
band will plsy.
The evhool la a veritable beehive
of committee, planning sideshows
and concessions.
A program Isstlng one hour Is
to be presented at TSO. followed
by the announcement ' of Ihe pop
ularity contest winner and the
awarding of the prlees. Immediately
after this, the floor will be cleared
and the booths and concessions
opened.

Popular Town Club
The Town club waa a popular place
during the past week for luncheons,
dinners and bridge parties.
On Tuesday, whlc:. Waa ladles' day,
a large number of the members en
Joyed luncheon and bridge at the
club. Wednesday evening the Bad
minton club had a dinner party with
covers arranged for thirty.
Mrs. Shelby Tuttle was hosteu at
a bridge party on Thursday, and Pil
day evening a no-hot dinner and
bridge were enjoyed by a group ot
nlxtoen.
Numerous events are scheduled tor
this week, with Mra. L. A. Salade, Sr..
entertaining at a lunchoon tomorrow.

At the First Christian church In
Portland last Saturday morning Mla
Ruth M. Koowir, only daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph E. Koozer of Med
ford, and Lester C. Wilson, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Aaron Wilson of Coqullle.
were married at a ten o'clock service,
with Reverend Wilson, pastor of ttv
church, officiating, the ring ceremony
being used.
'The bride was attired In a dress of
spruce green oatmeal crepe, with
white satin trim, and carried a show-r
bouquet of pink rosebuds, sweet pe
and lilies of the valley. Her attend
ant, Mrs. M. E Knickerbocker (Thelmi
Stone) of Sisters,' Oregun. wore a, oor
sae of rosebuds and sweet peas, and
the bride's mother wore a corsage of
gardenias,
Mr. Knickerbocker of Slaters attend
ed the groom.
Some twenty mends and relative
of the couple were present at the wel
ding. Including Mr. and Mrs. Claud
Nosier of HUlsboro, Mrs. parish, Mfj
Doris Warnock, and Lyle Nosier of
Portland; Levi Wilson, brother of tlv
groom, and several of his younq
friends from Coqullle. Mra. Harry Wat
son of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Kltson of SUetz, Ore.. Mrs. Nellie
Roberta and Miss Alice Roberts, and
mother and father of the bride, all
of Medford.
Following the ceremony, a noon
wedding breakfast was held at the
Heathman hotel, attended by mem
bers of the wedding party and guest,
also Mrs. Merle Wilson of Coqullle and
Miss Elizabeth Swtgart and R. E. Man
ning of Portland.
The wedding was the culmination of
a romance starting at Oregon Sta;c
college, where the bride was affiliat
ed with Alpha XI Delta and the groom
with Theta Chi.
Mr. Wilson also attended1 the Sou
thern Oregon Normal school at Ash
land, later graduating from Albany
Teachers' college. He Is now instructor
and assistant athletic director at Co
qullle high school. Mr. and Mrs. Wil
son are now at home at 191 East
Second street, In Coqullle.

Miss Thelma Hurd, who left
week ago for Portland to visit Mr.
and Mrs. Frederick Johnson. Jr., re
turned Friday morning from the

On last Sunday, Armistice day, Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Conger observed their
sliver wedding anniversary, being
guests of honor at a dinner given at
the L. Nledermeyer home. Chrysan
themums and roses formed the deco
rations. Mrs. Nledermeyer was presented a
lovely corsage of rosebuds. The din
ner was served from a buffet, to the
thirty-one guests seated at the at
tractively decorated table, arranged
by their niece, Mlu Erma Nleder
