OPEN CONVENTION
AT GRANTS PASS
Starting tonight at 8 o'clock with
a pot-luck supper, Mhrlstian endeav
or societies of Crater Lake union will
meet at Grants Pass for an annual
three day convention.
The program will continue over
Saturday and Sunday, with a com
plete schedule of worship services,
addresses and social function. The
three state officers present will be
Dr. Walter L. Myers, state counsel
lor and field secretary, ol Eugene;
Grace Adamson, state superintendent
of the "C. E. World," of Portland:
Thelma Parish, regional vice presi
dent of the state union, of Klamath
Falls.
The theme of the convention will
be "This Is The Message." Rev. H.
H. Hilton, pastor of the Grants Pass
Christian church, will be host, and
Opal Hush, of Ashland, "president of
Crater Lake union, will preside.
In this evening's session. Rev. Hil
ton will give an address of felcome.
and "We Received the Message," will
be the subject of an address by Rev.
W. R. Balrd of the Medford Chris
tian church.
On Saturday there will be com
mittee meetings, at which officers
will deliver their messages, and In
the morning Miss Adamson will de
liver a pep talk, in the evening, Ger
ald Latham will be toastmaster at
the banquet, and there will be a
song service and business sessions.
Sunday will be clev:-?d to church
services and In the afternoon Dr.
Myers will address the delegates on
"This Is the Message, He Called to
You." In the evening awards will be
presented, and Dr. Myers will deliver
the closing talk.
RATES ON BONNEVILLE
POWER READY SOON
PORTLAND. Nov. 16. (AP) Ten

power and navigation dam will be
issued within a few days so that
northwest operators may quote fig

ly installed a Boeing mail plane on
the run, similar to those used on -;he
regular coast run of the United Air
Lines in the past. The plane, pllo.M

records of votes from five counties
must be received before the canvass
of the general election ballots can be
made by the secretary of state.
Thirty-one counties have alrendy
sent In the official votes, it was an
nounced today.
Those not yet reporting are Klam
ath. Multnomah, Urnntllla, Coos and
Wheeler counties.

that a change has been made in
dates for meetings of the Boys' Ath
letic club at the Roosevelt school,
for the east district, and that the
west district members will meet at
the Washington school next week
for the first time.
The change at the Roosevelt is
from Monday to Wednesday evening,
so that the present schedule for that
district is now Wednesday and Frlr
day nights. The boys will meet to
night at the Roosevelt school, where
O. Palmer Is In charge of basket
ball practice.

curred in amendments and thereby
enacted the bills Into law as fast as
it received them.

Allen for signature and there was
no doubt about his signing all oi
