nected with the LaOrande training-
school building project and to exe

building committee headed by F. E.
Callster. This Is a 130.000 PWA proj
ect to be financed Jointly by the
atate, federal government, state and
LaGrande school district In spproxt
mstely the proportion of 35.000, S39,.
000 and 156.000.

board pasted a resolution requesting
that the offer be made in writing for
final decision.
The board, on motion of Mr. Canis
ter, changed the title of C. D. Byrne

SHINGLE QUOTA
ENFORCING NEAR
WASHINGTON, Nov. 3. (API De
scribed by lumbermen here as the
last step toward enforcement of the
Import quota of British Columbls
red cedar shingles, the Dcmlnlon of
Canada government has approved the
establishment of the British Col
umbia Export association.
Through this association It Is ex
pected that Canadian exportation of
shingles will be limited to 25 per
cent of the demand within the
United Statea, leaving to red shingle
manufacturers of the Pacific North
west 75 per cent.
