CHEESE DEMAND
PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 2. (AP)
Keener demand was showing all
through the market for cheese with
the late advance of 1 cent at Tilla
mook as full suggestion of the better
ment. Tillamook makes few changes
during the season, but generally
malntalna the price where It Is
placed.
The last advance of 1 cent & pound
named suggested that the time was
ripe for an actual advance in the
price that has been held Intact by
the famed district while other sectors
were shading their values and at in
tervals making slight recovery.
There was no change In the butter
market for the day. The 1 cent dif
ferential between two top scores has
caused the demand to again show
greatest In B grade in retail ahops.
Strengeh was continued generally
for fresh eggs in the local trade with
price mi ante nance also in most of
the leading markets of the country.
Well held demand was showing for
live chickens of all sorts in the local
trade with a generally firm tone along
the coast. Leghorns continued scarce
and in best request.
