the Tig era slothed their way to 7-0
victory, playing under conditions en
tirely new to them.
"Leaping Leo" Ohelardl. carried
the mud-encruated oval fifteen yards
on an off-tackle play early In the
fourth quarter to register the only
. touchdown of the tussle. Bill Bates
plunged through the center of the
line to give the Tigers the extra
point.
Med ford was deprived of two touch
downs during the third quarter by
penalties. Ohelardl made two nice
gains to reach scoring territory but
the teani wa called offside In both
Instances. Med ford suffered the loss
of 35 yards In penaltiea, and Marsh
field 10.
Play In the first half waa confined
mostly to the center of the field
with both teams using great care
aiialnst fumbling the slimy pigskin.
The pirates assumed a threatening
drive at one point but were soon sub.
dued.
Ronald Bnker was the recipient of
freak "pass" when the ball popped
out of a Marshfleid man's arms,
straight Into Baker's hands as the
latter came charging in to tackle the
carrier.
Bob Fowier, who has been playing
tackle, was shifted to end due to the I
absence of Joe Pierce, and gave a I
good account of himself In the new
spot. He anared one of Ohelardl s
passes which went for 1ft yards.
Riiawll Brown snagged- one psss
and Intercepted a Pirate heave to
redeem himself In the aerial depart
ment.
The Klamath outfit will have a
strong line here Saturday, practical
ly the same wall that played Med
ford laat year. It is reported from
over the hill.

T. Cyril Sander, Medford high
school senior, was appointed thla
morning by H. J. Fleischer, director
of the campaign for the sale ot
associate memberships In the Med
ford Oleenmen, as captain of the
campaign as related to all of Med
ford's public schools. Mr. Sander wlil
appoint his own assistants In the
drive which he promises to be an
Interesting one.
Medford school teachers have al
ways been most appreciative of the
educational value of the Oleemen's
work In the community. Many kina
expressions have been bestowed upon
the choir by these local educators
and they have supported the organ'
ization loyally. It will be a con
venience for these ladles and gen
tlemen of the local schools to have
Mr. Sander and his hustling assist'
ants wait upon them for the purpose
or their associate memberships.
The coming week is really "clos
lng week" In the Oleemen cam
paign and Mr. Fleischer has his
staff gathering In those who have
signified they want to become as-
sociate membera this year even
though they have not enjoyed that
distinction before. Many women have
purchased associate membership
tickets to pass around to their
friends as pleasant social courtesies.
Others are buying sufficient tickets
to enable them to take groups ot
friends and enjoy an evening oi
music together Instead of the pro
verbial dinner and evening of bridge.
