The assassl n was desert bed as a

Almost as soon as the shots were

stories already had been sent abroad
and the ban on the news was lifted.
All three of the shots which wound

Death came In an hour.
Turmoil Kelgnx.
All the street was thrown into tur

of the participants difficult, but,
when a semblance of order had been
restored. It appeared that there were
two assassins.
One of them, not Immediately iden

police as he attempted to escape. The
other was Petrts Kaleman, 35, a Yugo
slav who had been born in Zegreb.
He was wounded by the flash of a
police sabre.
Several persons in the crowd group

fusillade of assassins' bullets.
WASHINGTON. Oct. 9. fAP
NRA's rebirth probably will find the
government seexlng stricter policing
of those whom Hugh S. Johnson used
to call chlselers.
The question of code compliance
ranks high In the list of problems
presented to President Roosevelt by
his new national industrial recovery
board.
It matches price-fixing and produc
ton control as an Issue te which the
board and the president will give
much thought as they gradually re
vamp the recovery unit's policies.
The new board, headed by 8, Clay
Williams, is aald to believe In more
compliance with the provisions of the
codes.
