School Nurse Arrives Miss Hester
Flynn of Duluth, Minn., arrived in j
Medford yesterday to assume the
duties of city school nurse, taking the i
place of Mrs. Ruth Dodson. who has
taken up studies In the east. Miss
Flynn Is a graduate of St. Mary's hos
pital at Du'.uth, Is a registered nurse,
and comes to Medford recommended
by the Oregon State Bureau of nurses.
Cited to Appear Harry Humble, 68,
of Arvln. Cal., and Albert Stewart,
also of Arvln, Cal., are cited to ap
pear in Justice court at Gold Hill
today. Humble was arrested at Gold
Hill last night by state police, on
charge of possession of untagged
deer meat, while Siewart was picked
up last niht on Sardine creek, for
hunting with a residence license.
Competes In Show Army officers
of the Medford district are following
with Interest the Pacific Northwest
exposition in Portland, where Mr.
William C. Ryan, wife of Captain Ryan
of Camp Indian Creek, is competing in
several equestrienne event with her
saddle horse, Alexis. Mrs. Ryan start
ed by winning two seconds and two
third places, appearing in the hunter
and trail horse close.
Major Hrltt Visit Major Serine. S
Britt and family of Washington, D.
C, were Medford visitors over the
week-end, stopping at the Hotel Jack
son, enroute to Honolulu, where Major
Britt Is to take over a new assign
ment. Major Britt. who is an in
structor in the tank corps, renewed
acquaintance with Sergeant William
Ellenburg of the state police, having
served on the Mexican border with
him in 1916. Major Britt and family
left Monday for San Francisco, after
visiting Crater Lake.
