Mrs. Mabel Lonnon has returned
niter spending six months in Europe.
Mrs. Lonnon went first to Honolulu,
where she spent a week, then through
the Panama Canal to New York city,
where she was Joined by her slater,
Mrs. Alice George of Oakland. Calif.
From Hamburg, Germany, Mrs. Lon
non, accompanied by her brother,
Matthew Huckle, civil engineer .of
Bombay. India, flew to Munich, then
to Oborammergau, where they at
tended the Passion Play. A It had
been 20 yeara since Mrs. Lonnon had
been In London, a family reunion
wna held In her honor, at which 73
relatives were present. Mr. Lonnon
has a mine on Williams creek.

HOST TO PARTY ON
G. C. C. CAMP TOUR
Major C. H. Armstrong was host to
a party of Medford people yesterday
on a motor tour of the OCO camps
In the Crater Lake area, atarttniz. at
the South Pork camp, near Butte
Palls, and ending up at the Wine
Glass camp on the east side of Crater
Lake.
A bountiful chicken dinner was
served at the Mill Creek camp, after
which the party motored to Crater
Lake, stopping at the rim, where tha
view of Klamath Lake with Mt. Shas
ta looming up Its snowy crest In the
distance, was unusually clear and
beautiful.
At the Wine Olass camp, a delicious
supper was served in the mess hall,
and there as at the other camps, Ma
jor Armstrong escorted bis guests on
a camp lnspeotlon, showing all the
Interesting details of camp life, and
OCC activities.
The party returned to Medford
about 8 :30 last night after a most en
joyable excursion, and a much clearer
understanding of the excellent work
of the CCC boys, and the Importance
this form of federal relief has In eco
nomlo life of southern Oregon.
