Sidney Fox, In the abbreviated
South Sea costume, and Sidney Black
mer, the handsome egg In the evening
clothes, are two of the host of stars
In "Downto Their Last Yacht," com
ing tomorrow to the Rialto theater.
The story starts out as a comedy
riot with a whole shipload of newly
rich sailing on a pleasure cruise to
the romantic islands of the South
Seas. Arriving there, however, the
film takes a sudden turn to music
and beauty and climaxes with a lav
ish display of sensuous rhythm and
exotic dances. "Beach Boy," which
has already achieved popularity
throughout the country. Is but one of
the nany tunes In the picture. I
Vaudeville Bill
Coming Tuesday
Craierian Stage
Tomorrow brings i-he second unit
of the big vaudeville shows to the
Craterian theater. Harry Clark's
"Penthouse Follies," with eight acts
and a 10-piece orchestra, will be on
the stage for both matinee and even
ing shows with "The Merry Prinks"
as the screen feature.
Superbly mounted, gorgeously
gowned and decidedly novel, the
"Penthouse Follies" also presents a
stream-lined chorus In several differ
ent routines.
Art Gleason. one of America's most
versatile musicians, will furnish the
music with his Manhattan 6erenad
ers. Gleason Is in a style by himself,
and Is said to assure the audience of
no dull moments during the musical
accompaniments. Aside from being a
most able leader, he himself plays
many Instruments in an outstanding
manner.
Harry and Billle Clark present some
exceptionally fine dancing, both in
character and in comedy. Miss Clark,
& petite brunette, makes a striking
appearance In varied costumes aside
from being a clever dancer. Harry
Clark not only dances but Is the in
evitable master of ceremonies, whose
pleasing personality Introduces the
entire cast.
Oleason and AUyn, in a musical
cocktail, present one of the most out-
st an ding musical offerings ever
brought to the stage. A featured
member of the Greenwich Village Fol
lies, Miss Allyn is- known as "The
Personality Girl," and with her daa-
zling appearance and musical accom
plishments, Is a decided hit.
Hal and Rady Crlder present an
unusual act n their upside down
dancing number. The male member
Is not only, a finished dancer on his
feet but, balancing on his hands, does
a neat number that invariably has
the audience asking for more. Miss
Crlder, the other half of the team. Is
said to be the laat word in "Ho ten a"
dancers, creating quite a sensation
with her various numbers.
Paul Green. Robert L. Ripley's "Be
lieve It Or Not' contortionist, who
was one of the featured performers In
the Chicago Century of Progress Oddl
torlum, Is one of the big hits of the
show. His ability to twist hli body
lnto unbelievable positions makes hli
act not only unusual but decidedly a
novelty.
Paige and Jewett, a unlcycle team
that do better on their one-wheeled
affair than most people do on a regu
lar two-wheeler. Paige actually does
a rubber-wheeled tap dance that is
said to be one of the show's highlights.
Blllle Joy and Company bring a
group of good-looking charmers to
the front in several different dance
routines. This flash dancing act has
been featured In several of the big
musical shows. I
On the screen, Aline MaeMflhon,
Guy Kibbee, Hugh Herbert. Allen'
Jenkins and many other well-known
screen favtories, will be shown In
"The Merry Frlnks," a lively, racy
riot of a well-meaning but utterly
devoid of any Intelligence family. !

Karl Janouch, supervisor of Rogue
River National forest today stated
that although the road recently con
structed between Beaver creek and
Ashland mountain has been opened
to the public. It has not yet been
made ready for steady travel. The
road, which has been only roughen
ed out, is too rocky for the average
motorist, Janouch said, but will be
In good condition within two weeks.
When the Ashland watershed road is
opened, the drive to Ashland via the
new Beaver creek road will provide a
beautiful scenic trip, Janouch said.
