Oregonlan said today that a aub -commit
tee report of the Multnomah
Democratic Central committee has
charged that destitution relief In
Multnomah county Is mismanaged
and administered by "political parti
san antagonists whose management Is
clearly designed to discredit the na
tional relief and recovery program. '
The article said further that the
report alleged a design to checkmate
a "registration Bhift to the Demo
cratic party." and that nepotism, fa
voritism and mismanagement were
charged.
The report, which the paper said
now Is In the hands of John J. Beck,
man, county Democratic chairman, Is
to be placed before the county
executive committee. It Is said to
bear the signatures of H. J. Langos,
sub-committee chairman and secre
tary of the Multnomah Democratic
Central committee; Aahby C. Dickson,
state senator; Louise Palmer Weber,
and others.
The article said the aub-committee
members have made charges that
every effort is being made to smother
the report, which assertedly strikes
just as hard at certain prominent
