chase of a Guernsey calf, Monte Rosa
champion, which waa the winning

calf at the fair, and also placed first
in its claasa.
The calf will be brought to the
Anderaon ranch In the near future,
he stated. The purchase la being
made from L. L. Rumgay of Oregon
City, owner. Mr. Anderson, who has
about fifty head of cattle at his
place now. aald today that this will
be the tilth pedigreed bull he haa
brought to hla aouthern Oregon ranch
In the past 15 years.
COLORFUL YREKA
Headed by the American Legion
drum corps of Ross Nellon post, a
large delegation of Yreka citizens of
both sexes staged a parade on Main
Studded with ridiculously funny
situations, the breeay "Were
Rich Again," comes tomorrow to
the Rialto theater for a two
day run, with Edna May Oliver
heading a cast of film favorites.
Others featured include Marlon Nixon,
Reginald Denny. Billle Burke, Jean
Marsh, Buster Crabbe, who does some
beautiful diving and swimming in the
picture, and Gloria Shea.

clever costumes ol poneer days were
much In evidence. Bewhiskered min
ers marched, with dance-hall girls,
and old-fashioned ladles and here
and there was found a sheriff to
maintain law and order. Many Med
ford folk were out to witness the pa
rade which was put on at no little
trouble and expense by the Yreka
citizens to advertise their third an
nual "Gold Rush' celebration, which
opens tomorrow and holds forth for
three days.
It Is hoped that a large number of
Medford and Jackson county people
will attend the Yreka celebration to
show apreclatlon for the fine co-op
eratlon given by the Siskiyou citizens
In Med ford's recent Dlemond Jubilee.
