Elks Plan Dance
At Picnic Grounds

Miss Pauline Haas of Fredonla,
Pa., who has been spending the sum
mer here as the guest of Dr. and
Mrs. W. H. Heckman, Is leaving Mon
day on the Shasta for Portland,
where she will be the guest of Mrs.
O. P. Swlgert, Jr. Miss Haas Is the
granddaughter of Mrs. Heckman.
Miss Haas will accompany Mrs. Swl
gert and her sister Miss Annette
Heckman. of Hllo, Hawaii, to Van
couver, B. C, where they will remain
for several days before Miss Heckman
satis on the Empress of Japan for
the Islands.
The two will then return to Port
land and Miss Haas will continue
from there to her home !n Fredonla.
She will resume her studies thin fall
at Grove City college at Grove City,
