chairmanship of the Oregon liquor
control commission today rested in
the hands of Edward E. Brodle, Ore
gon City publisher.
Brodle wa elected chairman of the
commission at a session here last
night, at which several new beer JU
Penal ng licenses were issued, and me
revoked.
Brodle announced he will under
take a close investigation of public
sentiment in communities before the
commission approves licenses, ar.d
urjed that special care be exercised In
acting on applications for beer places
in the vicinity of schools and
churches.
The other members of the liquor
commission are Alex G. Barry of Port,
land and James D. Burns of Condon
Brodle succeeds George McMorran
of Eugene, who resigned.
