official Germany news agency In Ber
lin in view of protests emanating
from the German capital disclaiming
any connection with Bavarian activi
ties and Austrian Internal affairs.
HIGHWAY COMMISSION
TO ALLOCATE FUNDS
SALEM, July 30. (AP) The state
highway commission will meet at Eu
gene tonight to .complete the alloca
tion of federal road funds, It was an
nounced today by It. H. Baldock, etate
highway engineer. The meeting will
be in the form of a conference among
the official, to definitely distribute
the moro than 13,000,000 to the va
rloua projects.
The commissioners will leave Eu
gene tomorrow for visits along the
south end of the Pacific highway and
at Klamath Falls, returning to Port
land the latter part of the week.

Ford's seventy-first birthday and

from his office and laboratory at
Dearborn. He and Mrs. Ford are
vacationing at the secluded Huron
Mountain club on Lake Superior,
