Heads Cast New
Craterian Film
(Contributed.)
If you are one of those myriad mil
lions who subscribe to the oft-quoted
aphorism about good things coming
in small packages, you belong at the
Craterlan theater, where Damon Run
yon's "Little Miss Marker," which
opened last night, Is now showing.
This partlcudar good thing's name
Is Shirley Temple. Although she's
barely five and weighs little more
than 40 pounds, we'll wager thac you
never before saw ao much personal
ity, such direct straightforward and
admirable acting as thla divinely dim
pled little charmer lends to her role
In a whimsical and vastly entertain
ing chronicle of a little-known Broad
way. It's a story by the man who knew
them all, Damon Runyon, author o!
"Lady for ft Day" and It concerns
the out and the bookmakers, and
all the Innumerable small fry who
hang around Broadway. It has laughs,
and It has tears, but most Important
It la an honest tale about the chanty
and the kindliness concealed beneath
even the stlffcst ehlrt-bosom, In that
hardest of all arteries Broadway.
Topping the cast are the suave and
Inimitable Adolphe Menjou: gorgeous
Dorothy Dell, Charles Blcktord. Lynno
Overman, Sam Hardy, Frank mc
Qlynn, Sr., and Craufurd Kent.
