A group of over twenty of the
"Pioneer Boys" and "Builders of
the Trail" left Wednesday for a three
day camping trip at Lake of the
Woods. Ralph Wilcox furnished the
transportation and the boya were ac
companied by Rev. and Mrs. R. a.
Peterson, Mrs. W. E. poling and Wm.
Cottrell.
In the absence of Rev. Peterson
last Sunday, Rev. Mallory preached
the morning sermon at the Phoenix
Presbyterian church and A. W. Shep
herd led the evening servtos.
R. S. Furry and Norven Furry spent
last week end at Fish Lake and Lost
Prairie.

be seen In the gladioli beds here,

The blight situation here I show
ing improvement except in one or
chard which it seems Is neglected.
This orchard belonged to an estate
previously and haa been one of the
best paying orchards In the valley.
It Is almost destroyed by the blight.
Not only Is this an eyesore snd detri
ment to the district, but ts working
