Ken Williams' Merchun'J shut out
the Medford Rogues yesterday 8-0
before a holiday crowd of over one
thousand at the Cave city.
, Attendance records at Grants Pass
for the past ten years were shatter

Paul Hess, young Jacksonville

Medford and was relieved by Sargent
in the fifth after Grants Pass had
scored four times due to as many
hlta. a walk and an error.
Sargent was nicked for a pair of
tallies In the same frame before he
could get the side retired but from
then on, he held the Merchants com

nor a run.
The Merchants' other two runs
came In the first and third.
Medford's only opportunity to
score came in the eighth Inning
when Orr, Calvert and Joy singled
In succession but a great throw by
Powers in left field nipped Orr at
the plate, trying to score on Joy's
single.
Charley Orr led the Medford hit

of blows for the losers.
Blevtns. with three hits, paced the
Grants Pass attack which saw the
might Al Drolette go hltless.
