Theodore Jordan, condemned negro,

by the Chamber of Commerce, while
others are distributing . pamphlets
from the various summer resorts
throughout this section.
A number of merchants have signi
fied their Intention of creating
splendid vacation windows, which will
not only advertise summer merchan
dise, but wltl create the desire for
citizens to visit summer resorts, lakes,
and the various fishing streams
throughout this section.
Coupled with the "Vacation Days
Sale" will be the Idea to clean-up and
paint-up, and It Is hoped that many
citizens will do considerable work
along this line, or have same done
when they are on their vacations.
Local citizens are asked to cheok
up on their vacation needs and see
that they are amply supplied with
everything they will require on their
vacation or for the trip they may
take over the national holiday, and
local merchants believe that they can
supply the answer to every require
ment. Special posters are being prepared
which will be displayed in all the re
tall stores, and through the co-operation
of the newspapers and radio, no
opportunity will be lost to apprise
the vacationist of the things he may
need, whether he be flBherman, golfer,
motorist, tennis player, swimmer or
picnicker.
Miss Gladys LaMarr entertained the
members of the Medford Rotary club
at their weekly luncheon today, with
several popular eong numbers. The
enjoyable program, arranged by Pro
gram Chairman George Henselmsn,
was In line with the plan of present
ing oocaslonal musical treats for
lunoheon meetings.
Frank Newman officially greeted
four new club members at today's
meeting: Mark Goldte, L. G. DeVaney,
or. Lemery and I. c. echuler. An an
nouncement waa also made of a din
ner dance, planned for Wednesday
evening at the Oregon Caves chateau,
by the Rotary olub of Grants Pass.
Members of the Medford club and
their wives are invited to enjoy this

pellants, and Roy M. Parr and Ralph
G. Jennings, defendants. Appeal from
Jackson county. Suit Involving fore
closure of chattel mortgage. Decree
of Judge Earl C. Latourette modified
In opinion by Justice Bailey.
The action was Instituted by Nei
dermeyer, Inc., against Earl H. Fehl
and Electa A. Fehl, for foreclosure
of a chattel mortgage against the
equipment of the Pacific Record
Herald. The appeal was based upon
a "slight dispute" relative to the plac
ing of certain credits, and does not
affect the main Issue, according td
Attorney George M. Roberts.
The nature of the modification will
not be known until the opinion is re
ceived from the supreme court.
Under due process of law, the ma
chinery Involved was sold last winter
to Robin Reed of Reedsport, wrestler-
editor, who moved the machinery to
the north part of the state.
The case was heard two years or
more ago, before Judge Earl A, La
tourette of Oregon City. The case
has been on appeal since. It was one
of the numerous legal actions In
which Fehl became involved.
