REFRESHING DRINKS
Before you purchssed your lee

drink concoctions as well sa the

would be yours with such ownership?
Of course you did. But are you act
ually making use of the opportunity
and having a variety of refreshing
beveragea? Speaking from - general
observation, I'm pretty sure you are
not using either your Imagination or
refrigerator for a lot of delightful
refreshments that might be yours al
most for the asking. Maybe a few
suggestions will start you on the
trail of more combinations.
Loganberry Hi-Ball
To each glass:
1-3 glass of loganberry Juice.
1 teaspoon lemon Juice.
1 oube of Ice (1 tablespoon
crushed Ice).
When ready to serve, add dry gin
ger ale to fill glass.
Orange Egg-Nogg
To each glass:
1 egg.
K oup orange Juice.
1 teaspoon lemon Juice.
1 tablespoon powdered sugar,
1 les cube.
Beat egg well, add Juices and sugar
and stir well. Pour over los cubs
and chill.
Frosted Mint Chocolate
3 squsres chocolate.
1 cup water.
cup sugar.
1 quart milk.
1 teaspoon vanilla.
teaspoon salt.
H teaspoon peppermint.
V4 pint Ice cream.
Melt chocolate and add water, boil
ing until thickened. Add sugsr snd
milk and cook five minutes. Chill,
add flavorings, salt snd ice cream
and beat with rotary beater until
well blended and frothy. Pour Into
tall glasses and. If you wish, add a
teasoon of Ice cream.
Sherry Egg-Nogg
To each glass:
I egg.
cup chilled milk.
1 tesspoon sugar.
Pinch of salt.
1 tablespoon sherry flavoring.
Beat egg yolk until thick: add
sugar, salt and flavoring. Add milk
and shake well. Fold In white which
has been beaten light but not stiff
Pour Into tall glasses and sprinkle
ligntiy with nutmeg.
Cider Blend
1 quart cider.
3 oranges.
1 cup water.
i lemons.
1 bottle ginger ale.
Add fruit Juices and water to el
der and chill for aeveral hours to
develop flavor. When ready to serve
combine with chilled ginger ale.
Frosted Coffee
To each glass:
3 tablespoons coffee syrup.
1 cup milk (chilled).
1 tablespoon Ice cream (vanilla).
Place In covered container and
shake thoroughly. Pour Into tall
glasses and add a topping of Ice
cream If desired.
Lemon Shake
To each glass:
V4 lemon Juice and rind.
3 tablespoons sugar syrup.

1 egg white, well beaten.
Mix In shaker until thoroughly
