day promises much In the way of
entertainment.
Corp. Ingleston, official photog
rapher for the war department during
the fracas, secured some exceptional
battle scenes, along with numerous
humorous Incidents in the life of the
doughboy. Supplying the dialogue
for the war pictures, Corp. Ingleston
tells of the many comical happenings
In typical doughboy style, bringing
humor to a topic that is usually pre
scnted In a serious vein.
"Private Scandal" deals with the
murder of an Influential citizen whose
attempt to commit suicide to cover
his financial losses la frustrated by a
mysterious person's sudden killing of
him. Ned Sparks, in the role of the
"dead pan" detective, attempts to
solve the mystery, only to have each
principal Involved refusing to reveal
the truth, afraid of some private scan
dal in his own life.

Georgia Minstrels
Coming Thursday
As a special attraction for Jubilee
week, the Craterian theater has se
cured the services of the Famous
Georgia Minstrels who, combined with
the Harlem Night Club Creole Girls,
open a three-day engagement at the
theater Thursday.
Among the many featured perform
ers are Lasses Brown and Tommy Har
ris, whose continual Joking and comi
cal actions furnished many laughs
when the minstrels played here last
year. These two lads are starting out
their 12th consecutive season with
the Georgia Minstrels, and are but
two of the many reasons why this
great stage presentation plays to ca
pacity houses dally.
There are over 40 people In the act
with the famous dance team of
Broomfteld and Greeley featured.
A complete screen program, headed
by Joan Blondell's latest "Smarty,'
story of. a giddy blonde, will also be
shown.

went an operation for appendicitis at
the Community hospital Friday, was
today said to be getting along satis
factorily, and will probably be able
to return to his homo within a few
days.
