Illustrious Potentate W. P. Neville, will
spent 18 hours of joyoua good-fellowship
In Hlllah Temple's domain aa
guests of the southern Oregon Shrln
ers, marking another epoch In the
history 'of close friendship between
the Sacramento nobles and those who
wear the Hlllah fez.
And Hlllah temple la ready for
their welcomed visitors . . . prepared
to pack the 18 hours with fun and
frivolity. Nearly half of Hlllah'a mem
bership has had a hand In the prepa
rations for the Joint ceremonial with
Harold Brown heading the many com
mittees that have been active for the
past two months.
The program of entertainment for
Ben All Shriners will begin with a
breakfast In the main floor dining
rooms of the Hotel Medford immedi
ately following the arrival of the
trains and march to the hotel. After
the breakfast, those who bring their

nlblto and mashie will be whisked to
the beautiful Rogue Valley golf course
where a Shrine tournament will be
staged. For the visitors who prefer
other entertainment, a drive rough
the Rogue River valley has been
planned, ending at the historic old
city of Jacksonville, rich in the ro
mance of the 'COs. Here the two mu
seums will be visited, the historic old
Jacksonville lodge opened, gold pan
ning exhibitions held and hospitality
dispensed In the famous old U. S.
hotel.
- While the entertainment In Jack
sonville la holding forth, the na
tionally famous Ben Alt Chanters will
present a program over radio station
KM ED. In the afternoon at 3:30
o'clock, Ben All's equally famous band
will entertain southern Oregon peo
ple in the Medford city park.
Starting soon after 4 o'clock, a
banquet will be held In' the Medford
Elks' club with plenty of entertain
ment until the forming of the big
parade at 7 o'clock. Following this
brilliant parade, In which Ben All's
uniformed unite and HUlah's band
patrol aod drum corps, will partici
pate, all Shriners will assemble at
the Medford armory for the Joint cer
emonial. The entire program will be present
ed by Ben All's potentate, W. P. Ne
ville, his divan, director and wreck
ing crew end southern Oregon mem
bers are eagerly anticipating the
entire program. Elaborate prepara
tions have been made and extensive
properties have been assembled by
Ben AH temple for this brilliant af
ralr. Marching bodies will participate In
the presentation of distinguished
guests from scores of temples and
concerts will be presented by various
musical units.
Topping off the busy day, all the
Shriners who participate In the glo
rious ceremonial will gather at the
Medford Elks' club for a final good
fellowship session before the visitors
entrain for Sacramento.
A. S. Hosenbaum of the Southern
Pacific company announced yester
day that the Shrine special from Sac
ramento would be comprised of the

Chairmen Edward R. Smith of the
Ben All temple in Sacramento, has
forwarded to Chairman J. B. Kirk, of
the Hlllah temple, golf committee a
list of the Ben Ali players, number
ing near 40 participants, from that
temple, among whom are some very
excellent golfers of low handicaps.
A beautiful silver trophy Is to be
awarded by the Ben AH contingent to
the low net score among the Hlllah
players; while in return for this com
pliment, Hlllah fa offering a highly at
tractive dealt set to the low net scorer
of Ben Ali. There will be numerous 1
other prizes of sweaters, golf balls,
etc.
The recent rains having placed the
course In the very best of verdant
conditions. It is expected that thla
great Shrine golfing event will un-,
doubtedly be one of the big "Joy-
spots" of the mammoth ceremonial.
Mr. Kirk urges all Shriners Inter-1
ested In golfing to be on hand at 10 I
o'clock at the Rogue River Valley Oolf !
club.
