Electric Kitchen
Attracts Interest
An "all-electric kitchen" whlcB
represents the acme of perfection In
domestic kitchen equipment. Is now
on display In the lobby of the Copco
home office building on West Main
street. This is the first all-electric
kitchen exhibit to be Installed In
this part of tne state and it nas al
ready been Inspected by hundreds
of Southern Oregon residents.
The new Copco kitchen Is equipped
with all modern, labor-saving appll
ancea such as the electric range, elec
tric refrigerator, electric dishwasher,
food mixer, ventilating fan, telechron
clock and many small devices, such
as percolator, toaster and waffle
iron. The scientifically arranged cab
inets and drawers, which were In
stalled by the Trowbridge Cabinet
Works, represents the latest Ideas In
convenience and take care of every
need. The combination electrls dish
washer and metal sink promises to
make a hit with local housewives who
dread the dally drudgery of washing
dishes, and the attractive refrigera
tor and range are the last word In
this popular electric equipment.
The illumination of the "dream
kitchen" Is also worthy of special
attention as It provides an abun
dance of shadowless light, free from
glare, and at the same time en
hances the beauty of the decorative
effects, v'nlch are both clever and
colorful.
Proponents of the all - electric
kitchen Idea have stated that In this
new and modern addition to the
home the housewife no longer has
to do the work with her hands; she
merely directs it. Electricity pre
serves the food safely and econom
ically in the electric refrigerator,
cooks the dally meals automatically
without constant supervision, and
even washes and dries the ' dishes
much more efficiently than by hand.
A snap of the switch and electric
servants swiftly and silently accom
plish the tasks that now require
hours of time. In short, the "work
shop of the home" where the aver
age woman now spends one-third of
her waking hours, becomes the moat
enjoyable room in the home the
new guest room of the house.
"All-electric" kitchens can be easily
Installed without rebuilding, accord
ing to local Copco officials, who ad
vlie that these new kitchens are not
"standardized" but each Is Indi
vidually planned and designed. Local
residents who are interested In build
ing or remodeling may secure a color
sketch with full specifications of an
all-electric kitchen individually de
signed for their own homes by ap
plying to either the California
Oregon Power company of the Trow
bridge Cabinet Works.
