In a picnic supper on the lawn at
the Croft home Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Flene, Mrs. John
Eglngton and daughter, Lavelle,
and Sylvia Croft attended the barn
dance given at the Delta farm on the
highway Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. George Smith In
stalled an electrlo pressure pump In
their well lost week which furnishes
a good supply of water for house and
garden.
Nina croft spent Sunday and Mon
day visiting friends .In Medford. Mon
day she vlBlted the high school there,
where she was formerly a pupil

Elsworth and Elzy Ring, eldest sons

recently for admission In the CCC
camp, but there being only one va
cancy Elsworth was taken and his

Mra. John Smith and children, Ro
berta and Allen, are visiting on
Thompson Creek. She took her twoj
nieces, Haxel and Merle Kendall, to
eighth grade graduation Friday In Ash
land. The two children attended the1

Mrs. Mildred Miller of Medford
spent several days lost week visiting
at the croft home.
Mrs. Eva Smith gave a quilting
party at her home Thursday and a
covered dish luncheon was served at
noon. Those enjoying the day were
Meadames Eva Newton, Lulu Dusen
berry, Minnie Flene, Mildred Wright,
Evagene Smith, Lily Dusenberry, Irene
Johnson, and Eva Smith, Thelbert
and Voda Wright, Marjorte and Oen
eva Smith, Ida Dusenberry and Mar
tin Johnson.
The Aldebrook school closed last
Friday with a picnic dinner. Ice
cream and cake were served to about
forty. Mrs. Irene Johnson, the teach
er, has been rehired for next year.

Williams Ladlea' club entertained
their families and frlenda with
strawberry festival Wednesday at tho
community hall. A large crowd was

An old log house on the John
Letteken place Is being torn down.
It Is one of the oldest buildings in
this part of the state, having been
built In the early fifties or before.
The building has been used by Mr.
Letteken for several years aa a atore

our roads this week which gathered
