In the white leghorn division the
10 F. O. Evans birds led at the end of
28 weeks with 140D eggs and 1018.11
polnta. This averaged five egga per
week per hen. It la considered re
markable because leghorns, while
steady layera, often produce Inferior
eggs.
Points are awarded on the following
basis;
One point for each egg which
weighs 34 ouncea to the down, and a
penalty of l-10th of a point for each
ounce the eggs average under 34
ounces to the doaen. A bonus of
l-10th point Is given for each ounce
over the amount. Exceedingly bad
shaped egga and soft-shelled eggs
shell not be officially credited.

she'll have that long name until she
nets a record, at which time she'll be
christened with a name of her own.
At present her title merely means she
la the second hen In the Pennington
group. If she falls to amaas any lau

From Heavy Layer,
Penny's own mother laid 338 eggs,
her granddam 330 and her great
granddam 808. The dam of her air
laid 908 and his aon was the sire of
the granddam who laid 308 eggs.
