NEW YORK. May 18. (AP) The
stock market lost most of Its Infla
tionary enthusiasm today and prices
yielded most of their yesterday's sub
stantial gain under quiet profit tak
ing. While some of the metale were
under pressure, moat declines were
held to a point or lesa. The doe was
aomewhat heavy. Transfers approxi
mated 950,000 shares..
Overnight consideration of the
Washington sliver accord tended to
dispel the impression that currency
expansion waa Imminent. Various
traders, consequently, decided to cash
In their profit, pending a clearer out
look on the monetary altuatlon.
