ADDS SKILL ON.
MEXICAN JAUNT
If Pets Belcastro, belligerent mat
man from Sacramento, can keep up
hi recent good work long enough
to defeat Walter Slrlos, the French
exponent of the art, In the main
event of Thursday's mat card at the
armory, there will be a general ml'
gratlon of local wrestlers to Mexico
to find out what they have down
there that Is good forthe muscles.
Pete has Just returned from a
honeymoon tour of the land of cac
tus, and has been going great guns
both down and there and in Medford
since his return. He handed Paul
Murdock, beefy Oklahoman, two falls
last Thursday to take the match and
demonstrate why he went to Mexico,
and If he does the same to the
Frenchman, then thero's something to
his southern tour that he's been
keeping from us.
Blrlos is known to be able to take
care of himself In the ring and
should be an equal match for the
Italllan, but some think Promoter
Mack Llllard will have to look far.
ther than Prance.
Roland Warren, agile grappling en.
glneer from Klamath Falls, will meet
Bunny Martin, speedy Oklahoman, in
a 45-mlmite seml-flnal, which should
be a match full of speed and flying
fur, but not necessarily rabbit fur,
as the Oklahoman himself hefti a
nice biceps.
In the 80-mlmite opener, Swede
Anderson, Medford fire fighter, will
tangle with Blllle Newman of Den.
ver. Anderson has been trying to
get a bout for three weeks, and Is
full of high spirits for his encounter
with Newman, the man from Colo
rado.
