WASHINGTON (UP) Kalanchoe
Dalgremontlana. "guinea pig" of the
plant kingdom, is the world's lasiest
multiplying plant, according to Dr.
Charles F. Swingle, of the Bureau of
Plant Industry, department of agri
culture. In the Journal of Heredity, Dr.
Swingle described the Kalanchoe
Dalgremontlana as a plant from
which 2600 new ones may spring In
a single season. It grows and repro
duces rapidly, and, the scientist ex
plained, hastens biological experi
ments normally prolonged by slow
growing plants.
However, he pointed out, high at
