Judith felt relieved. Norman's

Clia's newspaper carried a fea

after exchanging greetings. "I'd
like a day or two to look around be

browsing through the books Mrs.
Cunard bad left available.
S'lE was awake at dawn next

out to tbe garage. Mrs. Cunard bad
said she might use tbe email blue

She parked ber car on the dirt

Without looking again towards
Hlllendale, she backed Into tha road
and went rushing along to the high
way.
The house was astir, laughter
came from the kitchen, singing
from tbe garage. Judith caught a
Sllmpse ot Mm. Cunard'a silvery

protected tbe rose garden. Delphy,
talking to her daugbter-ln-law'i
ilopmother's uncle by marriage,

"Mo'uln'. Mia Dale, how you-all
